Ghislaine Maxwell understood the task. In her most recent interview with Vice Justice Minister Todd Blanche, the convicted human retailer and former Epstein complicity, she made all effort to flatter Donald Trump and not to say anything, What could make the president look bad while she publicly asks for a pardon.
Publication of the transcripts
“As for me, President Trump was always very warm and friendly to me,” said Maxwell to Blanche, who was previously Trump’s personal lawyer. “And I just want to say that I admire his extraordinary performance, president. And I like him and I always liked him.” She added: “This is the core and essence of my entire relationship with him.”
The Ministry of Justice published Blanche’s interview with Maxwell on Friday, which is currently serving a 20-year sentence. The publication follows public criticism of dealing with the Trump government with proofs in connection with Epstein, a convicted sex offender who was supposedly committed to suicide during Trump’s first term.
The president, who had been friends with Epstein for years, said in 2002: “I have known Jeff for 15 years. Great guy is a lot of fun. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as well as me, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it – Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”
No epstein files, no revelations
Although Trump had promised to publish the so-called “Epstein files” as President-a long-standing demand for Maga rights-he and his government have tried to close the chapter since then. On Friday, Trump described “the whole Epstein thing as a dizziness of the Democrats”.
Maxwell received immunity to answer the questions of the Ministry of Justice, including several to Trump’s relationship with Epstein.
“Have you ever observed that President Trump received a massage?” Asked Blanche. Maxwell replied: “Never.”
Questions about the birthday card and Mar-A-Lago
Blanche also asked: “Have you ever heard that Mr. Epstein or anyone said President Trump inappropriately behaved with masseuses or with anyone in your world?”
“Absolutely never, in no context,” replied Maxwell. She also said that she only saw the men “in a social framework” and “no private situations”.
Blanche also addressed the alleged birthday greeting that Trump is said to have written to Epstein, in which he called him “a buddy” and wrote: “We have certain things together, Jeffrey.” Trump and his team had tried to prevent the publication of this story in Wall Street Journal, and Trump sued the newspaper by describing the greeting as “wrong and not existing”.
When asked whether she remembered a letter or a map from Trump to Epstein’s 50th birthday, Maxwell said: “I don’t remember.” She couldn’t remember having asked Trump, but “Epstein also asked people directly.”
For claims, also from Trump himself, Epstein, recruited young women from the staff of his Mar-A-Lago resort, said Maxwell: “She never recruited a masse for this as far as I remember.”
Depreciation not yet excluded
In the interview, Blanche emphasized that her conversation was not associated with a possible mitigation and currently had no impact on her conviction. But Trump has not completely excluded the possibility of pardon.
“Well, I can give her a pardon,” said the president in July. “But nobody came to me with it. Nobody asked me about it. It is in the news about this aspect.”
