On the morning of June 17, Jos Peek will receive a phone call that fears every entrepreneur: the building he rents, and where his employees are working at that time, is on fire. “That is of course a crazy phone call. I drove back to Laren like a hare. On the way you start thinking of everything.”
Once at the building, the damage seems to be not too bad in the first instance. “I thought: oh, luckily. Only smoke came out of the roof. The first hour I mainly looked at: it ends well. But it didn’t end well at all.”
