RTL Boulevard is under fire because of the alleged horror stress on the editors-Victor Vlam even speaks of DWDD-like situations. How should that continue? “They stop at Late Night.”
This summer it has turned out to be a worthless program: RTL Boulevard Summernight, the late edition of the show section. A few people are allowed to show up every evening to chat about B&B full of love and that was it. Does not add anything to the TV offer, and the editors are now completely underway.
High workload
The rumors about the completely enforced working atmosphere on the Boulevard editors are very persistent and Victor Vlam even speaks of DWDD-like situations. According to TV authority Tina Nijkamp, the late edition is the big culprit and she thinks that RTL will stop the program after the current series.
Tina sympathizes with the editors. “It seems to me a difficult time for RTL Boulevard, also of course because their boulevard Summernight is not scoring so well. It is of course plausible that the workload is a lot higher than normal,” she says in her podcast Tina’s TV UPDATE.
Dead
There are more and more mistakes in Boulevard. “Yes, that was already in the news this week because a number of mistakes were made, for example the father of Gaby Blaaser declared declared, but he still lives. Those kind of mistakes often sneak in when the workload is high and that is also the case there.”
She continues: “Making two daily broadcasts of one hour a day is very, a lot. I actually think that the boulevard has been very disappointing that the B&B-Napraat just doesn’t work that way.
“That cuts in”
Less B&B-Napraat means more other content. “So they have to make a lot more items for the late broadcast and that of course cuts in for such a team. I think they thought: at least we are going to nibble a third of the broadcast about B&B full of love, then we have already filled a large part of that hour.”
“They thought: and the rest we do news and perhaps some repetitions from the early broadcast. I think that she has fallen very raw on the roof, that it turned out not to score, so that they had to reverse everything.”
‘Don’t return’
RTL Boulevard Summernight initially also received many former participants from B&B full of love. “I don’t think – I don’t watch it that often – you don’t see it that often anymore. I think they have a lot of stress because of that SummerNight. That is my personal way of thinking.”
In a week and a half it will be over and over with the late edition. “I think the whole team will yearn for that.”
And then? “I think we can certainly say that this will not return to television next year.”
