Rangers hardly put anything in the way in the first half. After barely three minutes, Romeo Vermant was able to benefit from a blunder of the goalkeeper Jack Butland and his defender Nasser Djiga. Vermant only came for the goalkeeper, who was far in front of his goal line, and stand the ball from far outside the sixteen in goal.
A few minutes later, Christos Tzolis delivered a customized corner for Jorne Spileers. The defender stood alone and was childishly easy to tap the ball. After eight minutes it was already 0-2.
