In August, the ski athletes usually start the new season with the preparation in the snow. So also Mikaela Shiffrin.
So far, many ski stars have only trained in the weight room, now preparation on the slopes is continued. It is the same with Mikaela Shiffrin, as she announced on her Instagram account. She posted the first snow pictures of the season and wrote: “Snow fun on the first day.”
The American skier is currently preparing for the new season in Chile in South America. And the season will be a particularly challenging one, after all, the Winter Olympics are pending. You can find from 6-22. February 2026 in northern Italy.
The winter games are certainly the highlight of the upcoming season, but the World Cup starts three months earlier. The giant slalom will take place in Sölden (Austria) at the end of October.
Mikaela Shiffrin is the most successful ski racer in history: over 90 World Cup victories, five overall World Cup titles as well as numerous World Cup medals and two Olympic wins (2014 slalom, 2018 giant slalom) make you an exceptional athlete who celebrated in all disciplines.
