Lahti Pelicans’ preparations for tonight’s playoffs against KooKoo became complicated.
Etelä-Suomen Sanomat reports the hall alarm system may have warned of too much snow on the roof. The playoffs of the A-youth have already been moved out of the hall, but the league match of the evening is also in danger.
CEO of Pelicans Lauri Pöyhönen could not tell Etelä-Suomen Sanomat in the afternoon whether the match could be played. The match is scheduled to start at 6.30pm.
– The minutes are against us. The audience is about to head to the hall. On behalf of the club, we will try until the end, and we have the readiness to open the doors to the public, Pöyhönen commented to ESS.
If the sensors are still red before the match, the playoffs will have to be canceled. According to Pöyhönen, the match will then be sentenced to a loss to the Lahti club.
