Former Bundesliga professional Jeff Strasser becomes the new coach of the national team of his home country Luxembourg.
The 50-year-old replaces Luc Holtz, who had recently dissolved his contract after 15 years and had switched to the third division team Waldhof Mannheim. The Luxembourg Association of the “AFP” news agency confirmed Strasser’s commitment.
Strasser, who played for Kaiserslautern and Gladbach and trained the FCK, also meets the DFB team in the qualification for the 2026 World Cup with Luxembourg.
The games against the team of Julian Nagelsmann take place on October 10th and November 14th.
Strasser celebrates its debut on September 4 against Northern Ireland. Most recently, the former defender and 98-time international had trained FC Progres Niederkorn in Luxembourg.
