You had intended it that way: this holiday you would really restrain with all those goodies to eat and drink. But unfortunately this year was different. Fortunately it is not nearly too late. Long live studio Body inversso!

With three top tips from gym owner Lisanne Hoogland (27), you will still feel comfortable after your summer.

Lifestyle that you can keep up

Lisanne started her own studio in The Hague at the age of 21, Body Inverso. Her mission: getting fit (and remain) more accessible. Without strict diets and those compulsive trips to the gym with the accompanying lead in your (running) shoes.

“I have tried all the diets in the past, sport six times a week, but that really didn’t make me happy,” says Lisanne. “That is why Body Inversso is all about a lifestyle that can be sustained.” Think of Personal Training,, ” SmallGroup training and lifestyle coaching – All aimed at a healthier life, without having to compromise on the things you like. “For example, that wine in the weekend is possible.”

Ultimate tips

According to Lisanne you are never too late to start. Even now that summer is almost over. Her three ultimate tips? They arrive.

1. Start small steps before your vacation

Do you still have your vacation in prospect and the feeling that you have started your fitness intention too late? According to Lisanne, it is now the perfect time to start. “If you start with SmallGroup training or lifestyle coaching before your vacation, for example, you put a foundation. Also in terms of mindset. That makes you feel fitter on vacation and then you can then pick up the thread more easily.”

It is not about being strict for yourself, it is about awareness: “By starting with certain tools before you travel, you will not be in the mindset ‘all or nothing’: either on vacation with restrictions or unlimited along the all-inclusive buffet. You don’t want that mindset, and certainly not on vacation.”

2. Set realistic goals and go for sustainable

After the summer, many people suddenly start working full. “From zero to ten thousand steps a day? You may keep that up for three weeks, then you probably crochet,” says Lisanne. “So set yourself realistic goals that fit your life, your work, your family situation and your social life. For example, start five thousand steps three times a week and build it up from there.”

Lisanne also emphasizes the importance not to do everything on your own. “Discuss your goals with a buddy, or with a coach. Then you not only have more insight, but also accountability – A stick behind the door. This makes it much easier. “

3. Make a concrete plan

Good intentions are nice, only without a concrete plan you will not get far. “Saying that you” want to eat healthier “or” get rid of “is too vague. What does healthy mean for you? How often do you want to move? How much do you want to lose weight? We help make a realistic and flexible plan. A plan that works during and after the holidays.”

And, Lisanne concludes: “That not only works for the summer, that works throughout the year. If you start now, you will not only stay fit until September – you lay a foundation for a lifestyle that you can also maintain in the fall, winter and then.”
