César “Banana” Pueyrredón: Very good! (laughs) It is a nice challenge to make a musical, I have sometimes got on stage, but to act from César Pueyrredón with some special participation. News: How was the preparation to interpret Whitney Houston songs?

Pueyrredón: It is like singing a cover, but one thing is to sing when your friends ask you for a topic and another is to do it in the framework of all plot development where you have other gestures, a more ampulous imprint, because I am not on the keyboard with my band behind. Once I had been offered to make “Come from Away”, a very successful musical, I thanked them, but I considered that I needed a lot of essay and dedication, there were many functions and I would not be able to meet, I live from the shows that I do every weekend. But “the call” was perfect because there is only a function on Tuesdays, so I am finally giving me the pleasure of acting in a musical. I am not a bug of the genre, I enjoy it as a spectator, I once wrote a child musical that was unfinished and there is also a work that I did not write, but it is with my songs, I think we will once carry it forward. I never saw myself as a musical actor, but how fun this universe is!

News: You were the youngest of eight brothers, was music a tool to be noticed inside such a large family?

Pueyrredón: Yes. It was unintentionally, it was something natural, at one time a piano appeared at home for my brother Juan who already left us, I was ten years old more than me and I stayed seeing his classes. It was so small that I played the piano standing because if I sat I did not reach the pedals, any of my sisters or my old woman will have seen that scene and asked the teacher to give me classes too. At three months I was already composing songs for my bank partner, also others at the request for my friends’ girlfriends (smiles) at ten or eleven years with the emergence of the Beatles in my life the music became fundamental.

Pueyrredón: Yes, of course, we are always composing with my friend Bartolucci. Pueyrredón: Of course, by Argentine musicians and their creativity, look at what our rock has always been and now urban music. If you ask me what I do not like so much, I tell you that this Caribbean reggaeton, not the original of Luis Fonsi or the CNco that is great, but that more berreton of “Submit the Polleita, show me the ass“ (laughs) that is not for me, I come from the tradition of the good lyrics of rock, from Litto Nebbia, Miguel Cantilo, the flake spine. They marked us a lot, I am convinced that rock always manages to follow. If we talk about new singers, some songs like more than others, but I celebrate that if you go to Miami, for example, and see the ranking of the main 10, nine are Argentine. It is incredible what girls are doing, they have a lot of personality, they care about production, they have a spectacular image, they do stadiums, I am happy about that.
