Action with coaches
Fred, who has been working as a bus driver for several years, was asked by former Defense Minister Joris Voorhoeve to help. Voorhoeve already announced earlier this month that he had personally picked up a refugee Ukrainian family from Poland. The action with the coaches is coordinated by Pouw Vervoer and the company is currently looking for even more drivers to come and help.
Fred Teeven didn’t have to think long
“Would I have to think long about it? No, actually not at all”, said Fred, who has been riding the bus less in recent years than five years ago. “Then I was driving five days a week and I had time to think about what I was going to do after my political career. Now I still ride the bus two Sundays a month.”
