The feud between two families who escalated last November in the shooting of a house in Valkenswaard, was continued on Thursday. The resident of the house that was shot at stood in front of the police judge in Den Bosch. In May of this year he would have wanted to threaten the stepfather of the now -convicted shooter with a knife.

The man who had to answer for the police judge was 46-year-old Ralph V. He denies that he had the intention to kill someone: “I am not like that.”

V. and the step parents of the man who had attacked his house have been upset for some time. They lived in the same neighborhood in Valkenswaard, two of their children went to the same primary school and V. worked in the bunch’s printing company. V. more and more bothered the talks about him. According to him, they were helped in the world by the couple. In the end he moved to Someren, to a secret address. The couple would also have had a share in shooting his house.

Stop
When V. found out that it was known where he lived, the stops continued. The serious psychological symptoms that he had sustained during a trauma rose again. He also played that he had the feeling he had failed: that he could not have prevented his house from being shot at last year. And that his three children and his wife had also been in danger.

V. drank some whiskey to calm, grabbed a kitchen knife and wanted to get on his bike to teach the father of the couple a lesson. At least in the indictment was in the indictment. V. called the police that day in May, because he was not faced with the consequences of what shot through his head. He was arrested, had to hand in his kitchen knife and went into the cell.

That prison sentence should not get a result, the public prosecutor and the police judge agreed on this. Both had the same vision about the hassle between the two families: they always look for each other, there is continuous chaos and unrest.

‘Conflict must stop’
The police judge: “It just keeps going wrong and it could just be that the roles will be reversed and that the other party is here for us. This conflict, in which both parties have a large share, must stop.”

Did V., who made an aggravated and frustrated impression during the session, got rid of it without punishment? No: a fine of 450 euros was imposed on him, from which 100 euros is going, because he was in custody for two days. He received this punishment because he had threatened the stepmother of the man who had shot his house in a text message with death. He was acquitted of the threat of her husband. The police judge considered the possession of the kitchen knife proven, but V. received no punishment for this.

No contact or area ban
In contrast to the public prosecutor, the police judge V. did not want to impose a contact or area ban. She is confident that the man fulfills his promise not to look for the other party.
