“Live Forever” for dead fan
“We are shocked and sad about the tragic death of a fan at the show last night,” said Oasis on Sunday (August 3) in a statement. They expressed their sincere condolences to the family and friends of the data subject. A spokesman for the Wembley Stadium added: “Our thoughts are with his family, which has been informed and supported by specially trained police officers.”
The Gallaghers dedicated the song “Live Forever” during their final Sunday evening show “everyone who cannot be with us”. Liam Gallagher said: “This song is for everyone who cannot be here tonight, but who are still with us when you know what I mean: live forever!”
According to the investigation, the man is said to have sat in the upper row of the British nation stadium. The highest grandstands are 50 meters above the floor level.
A female fan that was sitting in a lower row reported on social media that she had seen how paramedics tried to revive the man. “I was sitting in Block 211. At first glance, I thought it was a coat that had fallen from the grandstand. But then I saw the man lying on the concrete. It was terrible,” she wrote. The local police asked further eyewitnesses to contact them with their statements.
