As “Blabbermouth” reported, the military band consists of musicians: inside the Royal Corps of Army Music and is one of the 14 regular army bands of the UK. They performed the complete song from 1970 with brass, woodwinds, punch and conductor. Purely instrumental, but with high recognition value.

Fans visited funeral service
The performance was not only musically remarkable, but also significant in time. Osbourne’s private funeral took place on the same day. The public procession the day before had numerous fans lured to Birmingham. Many laid out flowers on the Black Sabbath Bridge, also wife Sharon and the children Aimeé, Kelly and Jack were present.
King Charles with his own radio show
The appearance of the Army band is also related to King Charles’ musical commitment. Already in July the ensemble played “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan to Pride Month. Charles also started his own Apple Music radio show “The King’s Music Room” in March, in which he praised music as a connecting force.
Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22nd with his family at the age of 76. Just a few weeks after his last stage appearance with Black Sabbath at the farewell concert back to the starting. Already in 2002 he had played “Paranoid” for Queen Elizabeth II and the then Prince Charles, William and Harry at the party at the Palace for the golden anniversary of the throne.
