Four weeks after his degradation because of a “Mallorca video”, Florian Neuhaus is training again with the professional team of Borussia Mönchengladbach
“I would like to take the return to my team as an opportunity to apologize again for my behavior in the club management and Borussia’s fans, especially with Roland Virkus,” said Neuhaus according to the club announcement.
“We have had a personal and professional relationship for many years that is shaped by appreciation, respect and trust. I will do everything I can to rebuild this mutual trust. Borussia Mönchengladbach is and remains my heart.” He was happy to train with the team again and thanked the U23 for the support.
Virkus: “History is ticked off”
A month ago, a video with Neuhaus appeared, which is said to have been created on the Balearic Island of Mallorca. In it, a disproportionate statement about Borussia’s sports manager Virkus was heard before Neuhaus came into the picture and therefore revealed his own content of “four million” euros.
Gladbach had occupied the 28-year-old with a six-digit fine and put him in the U23 for four weeks. The management made the decision to return to the license team with the sporting management after discussions with Neuhaus, it said.
“Flo apologized in an internal conversation four weeks ago – we recognize that he is now making this public,” said Virkus. “For us, the story is ticked off and we expect Flo that he now offers himself with all his qualities in training and contributes to the fact that we achieve our goals.”
