What do you do when you suddenly see a load of yogurt, milk and butter in the middle of the street? Correct. Then you get the shopping bag from Zolder, drum up the neighbors and make a move. Due to an awkward accident with a truck from a large supermarket chain, the half -truck was lying on the street in Tilburg on Sunday evening. What remained was a big havoc and a street smeared with yogurt.
The truck was neatly waiting for the red light at the intersection of the Lage Witsiebaan with the Ringbaan-West, when things went wrong. As soon as it turned green and the driver gased, the carts in the loading box were loosened for unknown reason. With a rotten, six carts drove back, the back door went, and all the dairy products made an escape towards Asphalt.

Until the ankles in the custard
The Lage Witsiebaan was smeared with yogurt and pudding that spread throughout the street through the drizzle. There were also plenty of good butter tubes, packs of milk and desserts in between. This cleaning up was a hopeless mission for the driver, so with his hands in her hair he walked to the whipped pot viewers: “You take something with you!”
That message was not addressed to deaf ears: dozens of neighbors were called and armed with shopping bags, crates and garbage bags they went looking for useful goodies. While the asphalt turned into a pudding gang, people were in with yogurt stained shoes to supplement their pantry.
After a while, the police put an end to the spectacle, because the neighborhood ran the road randomly, which caused dangerous situations. They went home with bags full of dairy.
On Sunday evening around ten o’clock one lane is still closed. The expectation is that it will take until midnight for the last scraps of dairy from the asphalt to be scraped.
