With the third best lead time, the layers of the German swimmers around world champion Anna Elendt reached the World Cup final in Singapore. The men around Olympic champion and world champion Lukas Märtens, on the other hand, were disqualified.
Lise Seidel, Elendt, Angelina Köhler and Nina Holt hit after 3: 56.44 minutes. Only the USA and Australia were faster. However, numerous seasons did not yet compete in the best.
For Märtens, Lucas Matzerath, Luca Armbruster and Josha Salchow, a time of 3: 35.21 minutes was on the scoreboard. She would not have been enough for the final. However, because crossbowers seven hundredths of a second had jumped into the pool too early, the German quartet was disqualified.
“My attack took too long,” said Matzerath. And crossbowers added: “I tried to delay the movement on the starting block.”
In the lead, Cedric Büssing also failed over 400 m layers. In 4: 18.95 minutes, the 21-year-old from Essen only came in 19th.
