SV Darmstadt 98 defeated VfL Bochum on the first matchday of the 2nd Bundesliga thanks to a tra -pack of striker Isac Lidberg (for the table). The lilies won 4: 1 (2: 1) at home against the Bundesliga relegation. VfL thus experienced a false start and conceded four goals for the first time in its 17th season in the 2nd league. The match winner was attacker Lidberg, who scored three times for the Darmstadt (5th minute/45.+1/48.). The fourth gate for the home side scored Aleksandar Vukotic (56th). Bochum’s Moritz Broschinski ensured the interim compensation in the first half (34th).
Lidberg has been rumors of change for a few days. According to “Sky”, the Egyptian association Pyramids FC is said to have made an offer of 2.5 million euros for the Swedes. The offer is intended to include a ten percent share for the Darmstadt, but the SVD is probably not yet high enough – Lidberg’s market value amounts to 4 million euros.
Happy End thanks to Egloff: KSC spoils Münster’s coaching debut
In an entertaining game, the Karlsruher SC ended up a successful start into the new season and spoiled the competitive debut of Prussia Münster’s coach Alexander Ende. The KSC prevailed 3: 2 (2: 1) against SC Prussia Münster after a dream start and a late balance.
Lilian Egloff met shortly before the end of the regular season (88th minute). In addition to the game, Münster also lost defender Niko Koulis, who saw the red card in the 62nd minute because of an emergency brake. After the early goals of Youngster Louey Ben Farhat (7th) and captain and jubilee Marvin Wanitzek (21st), the Badeners quickly led 2-0. The guests who narrowly avoided relegation last season initially struggled. A fine individual campaign by Etienne Amenyido (32nd) brought her back into play.
The striker made the KSC defensive look anything but good in his connection goal. Marcel Hoffmeier put Paderborn (29th minute) in the lead with a remarkable goal – his first goal after almost three years and 77 goalless games. Armin Gigovic (85th) provided the interim compensation with a no less spectacular free kick goal. Filip Bilbija scored the late winning goal in the ninth minute of stoppage time.
Later hit: Elversberg defeated Nuremberg
SV Elversberg defeated 1. FC Nürnberg 1-0 (0-0) thanks to a hit in the final phase. Maximilian Rohr scored the goal of the SVE against the team of coach Miroslav Klose after a corner kick in the 90th minute.
In a duel with a few highlights, the guests from Franconia initially played even more determined. Striker Artem Stepanow had the great chance of leading the lead right from the start, but did not really hit the ball (2nd).
