More than 80 companies share expertise at Belgian Offshore Days in Ostend

The seventh edition of the Belgian Offshore Days started on Wednesday in the ACEG Arena in Ostend. Many companies active in the offshore industry receive around 800 people from the sector. Various experts also give information sessions on various topics. “If we want to continue to play a leading role in renewable energy at sea with our Belgian companies, then cooperation between all parties is more than ever necessary,” says Christophe Dhaene, chairman of organizer Belgian Offshore Cluster (BOC).

“The Belgian Offshore Cluster therefore believes in strong relationships with stakeholders and brings together a wide group of different actors. That is why we pay extensive attention to this collaboration between the various actors during the first day of the Belgian Offshore Days.”

During the second day of the fair, green hydrogen is central with the Inn2POWER conference. The European Inn2POWER project focuses on the link between offshore wind energy and hydrogen. The project brings companies and players from both sectors together to stimulate cooperation. The fair was opened on Wednesday by the mayor of Ostend Bart Tommelein and bOC chairman Christophe Daene. The fair will run until March 24.
