The new LP Great Art by Betterov has been announced for November 2025. With his first record Olympia, the musician landed in fifth place on the German album charts in 2022.

Collation of two worlds
Betterov, bourgeois Manuel Bittrof, deals with the change between two worlds on great art. Growing up in a small village in Thuringia, the musician moved to the big world at some point – to Berlin. This is exactly what he addresses in the songs of his new album.
Current escape to the FRG
With the single dropouts “July 17, 1989” and “July 18, 1989”, the musician tells of one of the most important days of his life. On those days, his father took the risk of imprisonment and started an attempt to escape into the FRG. The songs not only treat the flight itself, but also the consequences that this decision for Manuel Bittrof and his family brings with it.
“Dramas take place in my room”
Betterov had previously reported back after a long break with the singles “So High” and “Dramas are playing in my room”. The latter song revolves around his twelve square meter cabinet in Berlin-a room in which fell in love and separated, doubted and thought, and that on a large scale.
Densely packed predecessor
In 2022 the musician published his much praised debut album Olympia. With the extended edition Olympia (honor round Deluxe) published in October 2023 – including new songs and features by Paula Hartmann, flower garden and province – he finally managed to jump beyond the borders of the German Indian scene.
