Josh Freese divides his reunion with the Nine Inch Nails on Instagram and, in a positive memory of his time in the pioneers of the industrial rock: “It was one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make”. All the better, however, the view is to play again with the band, which in Freese’s words “left the stage and think every evening: ‘That was incredible. We absolutely rocked it.’ And that was not just a feeling, but “a certainty”. “I have rarely experienced this intensity, this pride and this satisfaction after every show,” said the musician.
A perfect exchange
In 2005 he was sitting on drums for three years at Nine Inch Nails, almost 20 years later Josh Freese returned. The rock giants Nine Inch Nails and Foo Fighters are now swapping their drummer. In 2009 it was Ilan Rubin who took over the post of Josh Freese at the Nine Inch Nails as Freese resigned in favor of his family. With the Nine Inch Nails, Rubin 2020 took his place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and now leaves the band after 14 years to play with Dave Grohl and the rest of the Foo Fighters on their tour.
The last two years after the death of Taylor Hawkins with Josh Freese on the drums, they spent the last time, and he said goodbye to him to “go in a different direction”. Josh Freese announced his exit at the Foo Fighters on Instagram: he was disappointed, but not angry. So perfect that a place has just become available at the Nine Inch Nails. So what was due to the priority of his family life can be made up again by a drummer exchange.
Anticipation for what comes
The North America stage of the “Peel It Back” tour from Nine Inch Nails begins on August 6th in California. The Foo Fighters, on the other hand, will start their tour in Jakarta in October.
