The second supermarket chain in the country is thus following the example of AH and Lidl, among others. Juice and smoothie brand innocent also previously announced the introduction of a deposit.
Since last year, there has been a deposit obligation for all plastic bottles and bottles containing soft drinks, water and juices to which sugar or water has been added. This was not allowed for bottles with pure juice. That option was only introduced in February.
Jumbo says the move provides clarity for customers who can now return all plastic bottles. The supermarket chain aims to complete the implementation this fall.
