Unusual incident at the Greek club Aris Thessaloniki: offensive player Carles Pérez for the time being after a dog bite in the genital area. The association confirmed this to the Spanish newspaper Marca.
The 27-year-old, who is currently loaned by the Spanish first division club Celta Vigo to Aris, was traveling with his own dog, according to media reports. When a strange dog attacked the animal, Pérez intervened – and was injured in the intimate area.
In the hospital, the wound was supplied with six stitches. The Spaniard’s state of health is not serious, it is said. However, he is not available to his club for the second leg in the second qualification round of the Conference League on Thursday (8:15 p.m.) against Aras Nachitschewan from Azerbaijan.
