Renault remains in the Russian business – despite Putin’s invasion war

While most western companies have put their Russian business on hold because of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, carmaker Renault remains active in Russia.

According to media reports, the French automaker continues to sell cars in Russia and intends to continue producing there.

Renault had previously stopped its Russian production due to supply bottlenecks. Now she should pick up speed again, confirmed a company spokeswoman.

As Deutsche Welle reports, citing insiders, the decision to remain active in Russia has the backing of the French government.
