Minos Gouras: SC Paderborn and 1. FC Magdeburg aim for transfer

Darmstadt & 96 are also interested

The signs at Minos Gouras (23) and 1. FC Saarbrücken are goodbye. Because, according to reports, nothing is happening in terms of negotiations about an extension of the working paper that expires in the summer, the club is threatened with a free departure of the winger. With a market value of 275,000 euros, the attacker is the most valuable player in the squad with the contract ending in 2022. As Transfermarkt has learned, 1. FC Magdeburg and SC Paderborn are aiming for a commitment.

At the latter club, Gouras could meet his former coach Lukas Kwasniok, who worked in Saarbrücken last season. Under the coach, the offensive player was used in 30 games. “He’s one for the Bundesliga in the long run. He has something not many have. He can go into space with speed. That’s a valuable attribute,” the coach once said about Gouras. Born in the Palatinate, he has been active in Saarbrücken since 2020, where he is currently building on the performances of the past season. While Gouras collected seven goals and three assists in 26 appearances in the 2020/21 season, he currently has six goals and three assists in the same number of games. He still has seven games to improve his yield.

In addition to 1. FC Magdeburg and SC Paderborn, other higher-class clubs are vying for Gouras. In the TM rumor mill, the attacker is also linked to SV Darmstadt 98 and Hannover 96. Talks have already been held with both clubs. With increasing interest from other clubs, FCS’ chances of keeping Gouras decrease. “It’s the case that you don’t always have the best arguments as a third division team,” said sporting director Jürgen Luginger recently. After the departures of Marin Sverko (24; FC Groningen), Nicklas Shipnoski (24; Fortuna Düsseldorf) and Anthony Barylla (25; Erzgebirge Aue) the club could lose another top performer to a higher-class club last summer.
