Marieke Elsinga once stopped with RTL Boulevard because she wanted to broaden herself and make television on prime time. Well, that has failed and now she is back. “Like a refrigerator.”
Three years ago Marieke Elsinga exchanged the Boulevard-Desk for an adventure on Prime Time, but she didn’t become the new Chantal Janzen. On the contrary: after a series of flops-the worst was that program in which Irene Moors was ramming as a candidate on a shuffleboard-the 39-year-old presenter is back on the old nest.
No viewing rate
Marieke has been on display for two weeks as a presenter of RTL Boulevard Summernight, the late edition of the show section in which a lot of talk is about B&B full of love. It is not really a ratings hit, because we all get very much an overdose of that dating show.
Perhaps it is also up to the presenter, because Marieke lacks Warmte, thinks TV authority Tina Nijkamp. In that respect, she prefers to look at Dyantha Brooks from Shownieuws. “I think she is much better as a presenter. I find her warmer,” she says in the podcast The Media Week.
Freezer
Tina has a tough opinion about Marieke, but censors herself. “Yes, I think Marieke Elsinga … I think that is missing as a TV presenter warmth, let me say so, neat.”
Co-host Mark Koster challenging: “You think it’s a refrigerator? You think it’s a freezer?”
Tina: “No, but I don’t say that.”
Mark: “Say out loud, come on!”
Tina concludes: “I just don’t find her talented as a TV presenter.”
Mark: “Okay, well, then you get away nicely.”
