A 30-year-old motorist from Rotterdam received a laundry list of fines on Friday morning when he rode the A58 near Tilburg. He was on his way to Eindhoven Airport and was in a hurry, because he had risen too late for his flight. The hasty ride cost him almost three thousand euros in total.
The traffic police caught the man while he drove over the highway at an average speed of 144 kilometers per hour. His speed sometimes even exceeded 150 kilometers per hour.
The driver kept far too little distance to other drivers several times and pushed his in front of the side by driving right on their bumper. If a director did not go aside quickly enough for him, the driver caught up with the right.
Almost three thousand euros in fines
“Getting up late for your flight is no reason to ignore all the rules,” the traffic police emphasize.
The man received a ticket of 700 euros because he kept too little distance. In addition, he received a fine of 510 euros for racing by road and a fine of 310 euros because of the right overtaking. The man was also registered by the police for a course at the CBR. He has to pay for that himself, it costs him 1400 euros.
The man cost the man a total of 2920 euros.
