Markus Krösche threaded the next mega deal. The Manager of Eintracht Frankfurt repeatedly proves a golden hand. Does he soon have to negotiate his own transfer?
Even before the departure to the trip to the USA, Frankfurt’s sports director Markus Krösche bagged the deal with the Premier League club. For Eintracht this means a huge transfer plus-again: Around a year ago, Ekitiké came from Paris Saint-Germain for 16.5 million euros. For the loan in the previous season, another 3.5 million euros had been due.
In total, the striker cost 20 million in rental fee and transfer and now almost brought five times. A more than considerable quota. Noteworthy – this affects both the amount of the proceeds and the regularity with which Eintracht recently stealed in such spheres. Responsible for this: Ex-professional Markus Krösche.
In the past two years, the third top striker has already left the Bundesliga club with Ekitiké – and every time it has been an extremely high transfer to an international top club. Randal Kolo Muani switched to Paris Saint-Germain in 2023 for 95 million euros, Omar Marmoush moved to Manchester City for 75 million euros last winter.
Now Ekitiké is gone. Together, the storm trio brings the club 265 million euros. The investment amount for all three was the 20 million euros mentioned. Kolo Muani and Marmoush were changed to the Main free of charge. The truth belongs: for them, criminals were also due.
Krösche’s negotiating skills also came into play with other players. Willian Pacho came almost unknown and went to Paris for 40 million euros, Jesper Lindström switched to Naples for 30 million euros. Both players had developed strongly within a short time. No other Bundesliga club can keep up with this transfer balance since 2023. Both as far as the income and the transfer surplus are concerned.
For many years, Borussia Dortmund managed to sell his top stars for a lot of money: Bellingham, Haaland, Sancho, Dembélé, Aubameyang, Pulisic and finally Jamie Gitten – they all went for at least 60 million. In the meantime, Krösche has taken the place as gold diggers in the league.
The 44-year-old, previously active in Leipzig and Paderborn, follows a clear strategy in his squad planning. After taking office in the summer of 2021, he fundamentally converted the Scouting department of Eintracht. The focus is on a data -based talent seal. The players receive long contracts, exit clauses are rare. When the obligation, the club communicates openly that the players deserved for the development of the market for market -friendly sums.
For his achievements, Krösche was most recently recognized by the magazine “11 Friends” as “Manager of the season”. Long -time manager Jörg Schmadtke Krösche’s “conviction and leadership skills” praised the jury. Not only that Krösche negotiated high transfer fees: at the same time, he always managed to obtain adequate replacement – at significantly cheaper conditions. The squad quality remained consistently high, as the first direct qualification for the Champions League now shows. Despite the regular departures of the top players, this succeeded.
