The marine environment in our North Sea is not doing well. That is why the Federal Public Service Public Health, Dredger Jan De Nul and the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences are joining forces in the ‘Belreefs’ project.
The hope is that the oysters form new reefs and thus contribute to the recovery of marine life. These reefs also form a habitat for many other marine animals.
