Replaced in the EM quarter-finals
Former terror: Next DFB star injured

What a start to forget: DFB star Sarai Linder is injured directly in the early phase of the crash against France.
As if the German national team at Women’s European Championships in Switzerland didn’t have enough personnel problems. In the quarter-finals against France, the team of national coach Christian Wück had to cope with another shock very early on in the game: in a duel in the fourth minute with the French-Antoinette Katoto, national player Sarai Linder was injured on the ground.
The full -back bent badly in the duel and was treated directly. She sat on the sidelines for minutes while the DFB supervisor team took care of her. Her ankle was tapped, then she tried to continue playing.
But that didn’t go well for long. National coach Christian Wück had to change in the 20th minute. Linder was replaced by Sophia Kleinhernen. An exact diagnosis is not yet known whether the 25-year-old could be used again in the event of a possible progress of the German team.
