For the 40th anniversary of her music career, Whitney Houston’s legacy is celebrated in a special auction. On August 11th Julien’s auctions organizes the Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation Auction, in which stage dresses, jewelry and personal memorabilia of the pop icons, who died in 2012, are auctioned. The proceeds go to scholarship programs for young art students to HBCUS (Historicalally Black Colleges and Universities).

Rarities under the hammer
The auction comprises some of the most iconic outfits of Houston, including a Catsuit occupied with sequins from the “i’m Your Baby Tonight” tour (1991), a jersey from the FIFA World Championship in 1994 and a stage two-part from the “Bodyguard” tour. Two pairs of Dolce & Gabbana pumps from their “My Love Is Your Love” World Tour (1999), a Riaa-Multi Platino award for the “Bodyguard” soundtrack and a slot machinery slot machine are also part of the catalog.

Gala preview of Houston’s birthday
Already on August 9, 2025, what Whitney Houston’s 62nd birthday would have been, the pieces are shown publicly at the St. Regis Hotel in Atlanta as part of the Legacy of Love Gala.
