Russian railways will try to take control of the situation with passenger ticket prices and prevent them from going up this year, Oleg Belozerov, CEO of the company, said at the Open Dialogue in the Federation Council, which was broadcast walked on the channel of the upper house of parliament in Rutube.

“We will keep and consider it important to keep the cost of passenger tickets without any increase in price. We will adhere to these principles as much as possible this year,” the top manager promised.

He also noted that the corporation will retain benefits and discounts on all Russian Railways routes. This does not apply to Crimea and Sevastopol, where the Grand Service Express travels: the Ministry of Transport provides benefits on these routes.

Last August, the Tutu.ru ticket service prepared a report in which analysts concluded that since 2020, the cost of a one-way passenger ticket on a train in Russia has increased by an average of 3% and amounted to 3,364 rubles.
