Jensen was taken over by the American St. Louis City after his youth academy. He played eleven games in the American professional competition MLS and was rented by Viborg FF in the 2023/2024 season, which officially took over the following season.
This summer of Jensen can be seen in Slovakia during the European Championship under 21. The Danes defeated the Netherlands 1-2 in the group stage, which they also managed to win. In the end Denmark made the quarterfinals.
‘Ro-Zangelo Daal as a competitor’
“Isak is a boy with a lot of speed, power and an individual action,” says football affairs director Max Huiberts. “If he plays on the left, he now competes with Ro-Zangelo Daal, who makes a great impression in preparation.”
Jensen says that he has had a lot to Simon Poulsen, former player of the Alkmaarders and PSV. “I called a lot back and forth with him and he only had good things to tell about AZ,” said the Deen who, he says, has a direct playing style and does not shy away from duels. “And I hope I will shoot a lot of free kicks here.”
