FC Liverpool published the first recordings by Florian Wirtz on the training ground. They liked what the supporters of the Reds got on it.
After moving to Liverpool FC, Florian Wirtz officially started training at the English champion. The club published several videos on Instagram on Tuesday, which shows the newcomer, among other things, when entering the training area – accompanied by the typical rainy weather on the island.
Another sequence shows a section of the training game, in which Wirtz is prepared for a hit by teammate Curtis Jones at a hollow trick (see video below). Many fans were enthusiastic, commented on the video and celebrated Wirtz for his wit, which he showed during the first training recordings in the Liverpool dress. “This pass from Wirtz”, “What an assist” or “Wirtz already makes Wirtz things” was read in the comment column.
As the “Liverpool Echo” reports, it was previously only being trained to exclude the public. The reason for this is the death of Diogo Jota, who died tragically on July 3.
At the first test game of the Reds in the season preparation on Sunday at Preston North End (3-1) Wirtz was not yet in the line -up of TeamManager Arne Slot. The 22-year-old moved from Bayer Leverkusen to England for a transfer fee of up to 150 million euros.
On Monday, the German international had said goodbye to his former club with an emotional message. In the video news, he thanked the fans above all “for love”.
His debut in the Liverpool jersey could give Wirtz on August 10th in the Community Shield-the English Supercup against FA Cup winner Crystal Palace with coach Oliver Glasner. Five days later, the new Premier League season begins for Liverpool with a home game against the AFC Bournemouth.
