Recordings in and from Berlin
Director Paul Dugdale accompanies the singer at a crucial point of his career and thus creates a film that shows Yungblud between change, self-discovery and rock’n’roll chaos. Together with his band, the musician retired to the Hansa Studios in Berlin for a while. “Are you ready, boy?” Now gives unique insights into the Idols recording process.
About Instagram, Yungblud himself says: “Berlin has always broadcast an unfiltered truth, every time I visited it, and the Hansa Studios are damn iconic. You can feel the story of Hansa, in the silence between the shots when the blanket is above.
“This film is a trip”
The special thing: The documentation was completely shot in the Hansa Studios and shows twelve new performances from Idols. Yungblud explains that the film is a trip – raw and uncomfortable to look at, even for him. The publication is afraid of him, but it is probably the meaning.
Idols as a special album
With Idols, the musician’s fourth studio album was released on June 20, 2025.
The album invites you to take a ruthless view of the mirror and radically question yourself. In particular, it is about reflecting on which teachings the idols could have conveyed in their own lives – but ultimately to recognize that all answers come from their own interior, says Yungblud.
