Tina Nijkamp has had a long career behind the scenes of Dutch TV and therefore knows better than anyone who laughs in front of the camera, but a dragon is as soon as the red light goes out … “Ilse!”

Nowadays we mainly know Tina Nijkamp as a viewing grade authority, but in Hilversumse she has been known for much longer. The highlight of her career was her position as SBS 6 boss, but she did much more for that. “Well, when I just started television, it was of course at the 5 -hour show,” she says in her podcast Tina’s TV UPDATE.

Connie’s flowers

Tina has had a lot of contact with Dutch celebrities since her early days. “I was first a trainee and then desk editor and then I also had to arrange BN’er guests. So I also spoke a lot with them on the phone or I had to prepare an interview and then I also saw them in the studio.”

Her favorite? Connie Witteman. “Who I always liked very much, I noticed, was Connie Breukhoven. She always came, when she was a guest at the 5 -hour show, with a flower in. She was always nice, for everyone, also for the editors. So not just against the hotemetoten, but against everyone.”

Willeke and Max

According to Tina, which Dutch celebrities are more nice? “Furthermore, Willeke Alberti was always super worth, but I also had a very nice meeting with Max Moszkowicz, the father of Bram Moszkowicz. A very impressive man and he was nice to everyone.”

For her it was always surprising when stars behaved nicely. “Yes, I was always impressed when Dutch people were very nice. Some Dutch people were not that nice at all.”

Ilse unkind

Many stars really suffer from star allures, Tina knows. “This way I can remember that Ilse DeLange, who once performed at Coffee Time, was completely shielded and so on, so you didn’t get that well.”

She concludes: “Especially the nice people have remembered me from that start time …”
