Germany meets France in the quarter-finals of women’s football European Football. That is determined after the third group game day. The French hit the Netherlands 5-2 on Sunday and made the group victory clear.
In the meantime it only looked like second place because the Netherlands led 2: 1 and England was in the front of Wales in the parallel game. Thanks to an outstanding phase after the break, France turned the game and set the final point to 5: 2 in added time.
In a furious game, Sandie Toletti (22nd minute), Marie-Antoinette Katoto (61.), Delphine Cascarino (64./67.) And Sakina Karchaoui (90.+2/foul elevator) for the playful French women in front of 34.133 spectators-including DFB federal coaches. Victoria Pelova (26th) and Selma Bacha (41./igentor) scored the goals for the Netherlands. For Andries Jonker, whose departure was already clear before the European Championship, it was the last game as a bond coach.
Toletti sparked the first scream. After strong preparatory work by top striker Katoto, Real Madrid’s midfielder, free in the back room, scored the lead. The Jonker team reacted promptly, Pelova drogs the ball massively into the upper corner. And shortly before the break, the ball from Bacha’s foot rolled into their own goal – the Dutch suddenly dreamed of a surprise.
The miracle of Basel was missing because France came up every minute after the break with force, sophistication and gates. According to Cascarino’s precise passport, Katoto punished a misunderstanding in the Dutch structure and freely completed in front of keeper Dapne van Domselaar – 2: 2. Then Cascarino fled the ball with the right as worth seeing into the left corner – 3: 2. A template about both inner posts according to Katoto’s degree again used Cascarino – 4: 2. Karchaouis penalty set the end.
