With “On the Road to Findout: Greatest Hits”, a cross -career collection of the most important songs by Yusuf/Cat Stevens will be released for the first time on September 5, 2025. The ups and downs of Yusuf/Cat Stevens
Cat Stevens became known with hits like “Matthew and Son” at the end of the 1960s before he threw a serious tuberculosis disease off the track. A point in his life that steered him in a deeper artistic and spiritual direction. In the 1970s, some of his albums, including “Tea for the Tillerman” and “Teaser and the Firecat”, were created. They finally made him one of the central voices of the folk rock.
In 1977 Yusuf largely withdrew from the music business. It was only decades later that he returned to the stage as Yusuf/Cat Stevens. In the meantime, his musical career reconciled. At the same time, he is committed to topics such as faith, peace and social justice.
