No good news from the German winter sports team. Manuel Faißt was seriously injured.
Job message for the DSV team: Manuel Faißt tore the Achilles tendon in the left leg in the training camp in Oberstdorf. This was announced by the 2022 Olympic second on Thursday evening about its social channels.
“Not the news that I would have liked,” wrote the 32-year-old to a photo that shows him in the bedside-with a high thumb.
The necessary surgery has already been successful, Faißt continues. Now patience is required. He also thanked the treating doctors, the team of the hospital, the DSV managers and the Bundeswehr for the quick and good support.
