Wolf GW3237M was involved in several incidents in the province of Utrecht last summer. Wolf GW3237M came close to people and dogs. In May, Wolf GW3237M bit a walker on the Den Treek estate for no reason. Wolf GW3237M overlined his hand there: Wolf GW3237M met. The death penalty has been pronounced: the province of Utrecht grants a permit to shoot Wolf GW3237M.
Objection can still be made. Last year, a permit to catch Wolf GW3237M did not stand in court. It is expected that Animal Rights and/or the Fauna Protection will also challenge this permit. And so visitors to the Utrechtse Heuvelrug are still advised not only to go into the forest, to align dogs and keep an eye on children. Runners, mountain bikers and horse riders are advised to be extra alert.
The seriousness of the case is certainly behind my desk. Wolf GW3237M is a loose wolf in the Dutch wilderness, a recurring summer cucumber among the real misery from home and abroad. Has it been investigated how its nature recovers now that everyone on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug stays on the paths? The idea of an angry beast makes us more than good for us. All our smallness is incorporated into the endless stream of news reports about Wolf GW3237M, or “Wolf Bram” as he is called by the popular media. The behavior of this wolf releases more than the stories of victims of the wars close and far away.
What if the animal’s hunting instinct is fueled even more, which cannot be excluded because our nature reserves are also overcrowded? Then do we close the entire Utrechtse Heuvelrug to the public? Are there still trains to and from the province of Utrecht?
I predict that Wolf Bram will be killed if the permit to shoot the animal is withdrawn. By citizens who have had enough of the syrupy bureaucracy. The Kadaver of Wolf GW3237M will be the starting signal to chase all the wolves from our country. Our country again wolf -free, nature cleaned by wild animals that do not belong there. I think we are very far as the Netherlands. Next animal on the list: the wasp or another pest. Last week people were stabbed again, one of which happens to live in my street. Under the armpit at a walk through Drenthe. Nature is fun, but of course you have to be able to recreate in it, also outside the paths.
