Emergency services in Breda were pulled out en masse on Saturday afternoon because someone would be in the water at the Tramsingel. The person is said to have jumped into the water from the bridge. The fire brigade searched under the bridge near the Tramsingel, a police helicopter also flew over the area.
The person was eventually found unharmed in the water. The deployment of an ambulance that was ready was not necessary.
The Nieuwe Haagdijk closed for a longer period of time due to the search.
