A day before the first Reunion concert by Oasis, numerous fans had gathered in front of the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Many traveled early to secure a good place. Some even camped overnight.
Fans get ticket upgrade
According to the British broadcaster “ITV”, the first fans have been waiting before the location since July 3. “Some of the most passionate fans” would have stood in line early, reporter Nick Dixon said in the morning program “Good Morning Britain”. The management of the band noticed the early arrival and reacted: “Security told me that the management had discovered it and brought it to another area-a VIP area. They got a massive upgrade of their tickets, which of course is fantastic for them. They are completely out of the house and were brought to another area.”
Cardiff becomes a campsite
Other media also reported long snakes before the Oasis show in Cardiff. The “Manchester Evening News” published a photo of the Oasis fan Jas Griffin-Jones from Liverpool, which was the first to arrive in front of the stadium and stayed there in a tent. Anne and Pierre, a pair of siblings from Brittany, are said to have been on site for more than 24 hours. “Sky News”, in turn, spoke to two fans who “arrived last night” and “slept in the van”. One of them said: “I saw her in Vegas, was also there on the first night in Knebworth. I just had to here.”
