The poker around the international runs in length. Because Bayern are still at the club World Cup, there are no negotiations for the time being. A quick agreement is not in sight.
Nick Woltemade, attacker from VfB Stuttgart, wants to go to FC Bayern – there is little doubt. But whether and when the transfer should be processed remains open. According to information from the “Bild”, the transfer ideas of both clubs are around 30 million euros. Stuttgart therefore demands at least 80 million euros, Bavaria currently does not want to offer more than 50 million euros.
Both sides have now agreed on a preliminary break, reports the tabloid. While the record champions are at the club World Cup in the USA, there should be no official offer. Bayern sports director Max Eberl and his Stuttgart colleague Fabian Wohlgemuth then agreed on this after several phone calls. In addition, Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen is in regular contact with VfB CEO Alexander Wehrle.
The relationship between the club bosses had relaxed again after the recent exchange after there had been criticism of Bavaria’s approach. They are said to have spoken to Woltemade without having informed the VfB managers.
So far, a specific sum has not been re -brought into the talks. After the club World Cup game against Flamengo, Eberl had asked whether Woltemade was really 80 million euros-a number that is still in the room.
Stuttgart now wants to coordinate internally to the amount of the transfer request, while Bavaria first focuses on the quarter-finals of the club World Cup. There the team of coach Vincent Kompany meets on Saturday (6 p.m. German time, live at Sat.1 and DAZN and in the T-Online live ticker) on Champions League winner Paris St.-Germain.
