In an accident on the A28 in Spier, three occupants of a car were seriously injured this morning. According to the police, a car and a truck clashed together due to unknown cause.
The accident happened around 6.20 am. The highway is completely closed in the direction of Assen to Hoogeveen. The traffic is led between the Westerbork and Dwingeloo from the A28, reports Rijkswaterstaat.
Various emergency services are currently busy helping the victims. Among other things, a trauma helicopter landed near the accident. Research will be done into the cause of the accident. Rijkswaterstaat expects the A28 to be closed all morning.
Screens have been placed around the location of the accident. As far as we know, the truck driver was not injured.
