The progress is no longer to be taken from the German U21 selection. That is why the national coach uses a radical measure.

Antonio di Salvo makes a radical change for the duel with defending champion England: The DFB coach relies on a completely new starting eleven in the last group game of the European U21 European Championship. Compared to the previous games against Slovenia (3: 0) and the Czech Republic (4: 2), DI Salvo changes to all eleven positions.

Nick Woltemade, with four goals so far, the most successful goal scorer of the tournament remains outside. The German team has already solved the ticket for the quarter -finals. Nevertheless, the group victory is still at stake.

A tie against the English would be enough – in this case there would be a duel with Italy in the round of the last eight. The team met in Spain in a defeat.
