Jerry TikkalaJyväskylä’s Padulpapaus, experienced tough last Saturday’s tournament.
– It was a final game and important points in question. The gaming buddy was passed and I went to get the ball, Tikkala platform.
– I didn’t even go terribly hard, but I hit the glass.
The glass broke.
– Men through the glass. The glasses dripped over me.
Damage to glass walls is relatively rare.
– They shouldn’t break, Tikkala says.
– I just had a bad luck.
The tall walls are lined with the paddle fields. The ends and some of the sides are solid glass.
Darts
Tikkala was transported by an ambulance to Nova Hospital in Jyväskylä.
“The middle finger tendon and the knee tendon, but they should return,” he says.
– There were a lot of stitches.
How much?
– Pig. They are almost everywhere: in the feet, hands, back and forehead.
Despite the darts, the recovery forecast is “surprisingly good”.
– After two months, everything should be in the cone, says Tikkala.
– In August, I am slowly starting to feel the paddle. A couple of first times you will probably take a tats, and then let’s start competing again.
Tikkala’s injury was the first to report Central Finn.
