For which club will Neymar run in the coming season? The Brazilian football star’s contract with his home club FC Santos expires at the end of the month. On the future of the 33-year-old, his father and consultant Neymar Senior said in an interview with the French sports newspaper “L’équipe”. “There are great chances that he will stay with Santos. I work on it,” said the 59-year-old.
But: Even if the focus is on remaining in Brazil, discussions with other clubs are not excluded. “That doesn’t mean that we don’t talk to other clubs.” I see an interested market, “said Neymar Senior. According to this, there are inquiries from clubs that are represented in the Champions League.
According to “L’Equipe”, Fenerbahçe Istanbul is one of the interested parties. The Turkish runner-up competes in the Champions League qualification. Neymar Senior will be in Miami for talks with international clubs.
The former star of Paris St.-Germain and FC Barcelona had returned to his youth club Santos after a guest performance in Saudi Arabia at Al-Hilal at the beginning of the year. So far, however, he played only twelve competitive games. He scored three goals and three templates. In the last game against Botafogo on June 1st, he was dismissed because of an intentional hand goal.
