Hertha BSC loses squad planner Timon Pauls within the 2nd Bundesliga to the Karlsruher SC. The 33-year-old takes over the newly created position as director of professional football among the Badeners. There he will be subordinate to the head of sports Mario Eggimann in the future. With the young director Edmund Becker, Pauls forms the second sporting management level of the KSC, according to a statement. At Hertha, Pauls had worked closely with sports director Benjamin Weber, previously he was employed as a squad planner at FC Augsburg.
