Hannover 96 apparently has clarity in the coaching position. According to the matching media reports, the new head coach of Lower Saxony has been determined.
Christian Titz apparently becomes the new coach of second division Hannover 96. “Reviersport” and “Bild” unanimously report that the change of the 54-year-old from the second division competitor 1. FC Magdeburg to the state capital of Lower Saxony has been determined. Accordingly, the two clubs have agreed on a deal.
Titz is actually under contract in Magdeburg until 2026. Hanover must therefore apply a transfer fee to lure the coach to the leash. According to reports, this is around 500,000 euros. The new contract should be signed promptly. This should be dated by 2028.
Titz succeeds André Breitenreiter in Hanover, who was released in April before the end of a messed up second division season. Since then, Lars Barlemann had supervised the team and completed the season with Hanover in ninth place in the table.
Titz, however, finished fifth with Magdeburg. The coach was then traded on several clubs. Among other things, FC Schalke 04 and 1. FC Köln are said to have had the 54-year-old on the piece. During his coaching career, Titz worked for Hamburger SV and Rot-Weiss Essen.
In Hanover, Titz is said to start his work promptly. Training start in Hanover is on June 23.
