A 32-year-old Syrian was arrested in Eindhoven on 26 May on suspicion of participating in the Terrorist Organization Islamic State (IS). The Public Prosecution Service reports this on Wednesday. In addition to the 32-year-old man, a 34-year-old Syrian in Maassluis has also been arrested for the same fact.

The investigation into the Syrians started after a message from the General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD). The two are said to be affiliated with IS in Syria. Their telephones were seized in their arrests.

The Public Prosecution Service says that the research under the leadership of the Rural Public Prosecutor is still in full swing. The men are brought before and they have to stay stuck for at least ninety days longer.
