Poker for exceptional
BVB rejects 50 million offerings-and wants more

Chelsea FC wants to have Jamie Gitten from BVB. It is still unclear whether the Englishman moves to London.
This Tuesday is “Deadline Day” again. Because for the 32 participants of the club World Cup in the USA, FIFA has introduced an extra transfer window, which then closes. Chelsea FC wanted to hire Jamie Gitten. But the BVB apparently rejected the second offer of the English for the wing striker. As Sky and the transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri report, Dortmund’s sports director Sebastian Kehl rejected the “Blues” 50 million fashion.
The BVB demands more money. How much, the reporters disagree. Tavolieri speaks of 55 million euros, while his Sky colleagues of 65 million. It is clear in any case that Chelsea is under pressure, otherwise Gitten could only join the team on July 1 if the large summer transfer window opens. Then the club World Cup would already be in full swing.
Dortmund can use the money for Gitten at the same time. Because of the drawing options for Daniel Svensson and Yan Couto and the obligation of midfielder Jobe Bellingham, BVB’s expenses are already in the middle double -digit million range. Due to the high premiums, the club World Cup can help reduce the minus a little. But a Gittens transfer would accelerate the process. It is still unclear whether Chelsea will invest with a third offer.
In a purely sporting way, Dortmund can do without the 20 -year -old exceptionally, at least Gittens only played a subordinate role under coach Niko Kovač, often came from the bank and was replaced by other wing players such as Karim Adeyemi or Maximilian Beier. A change is therefore-regardless of the club World Cup-very likely.
